Encountering Agape exists to help people know God, understand His love, and grow into wholehearted followers of Jesus through biblical teaching, honest conversations, and practical discipleship.
Our prayer is that every Bible study, article, video, and resource points you back to the heart of the Father and helps you discover that His love is deeper, wider, and more personal than you ever imagined.
“May you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is.”
— Ephesians 3:18–19
My Story

Hi, I’m Dr. Oluwatoni Adebisi.
Encountering Agape began with a prayer.
In 2023, while I was going through a very hard season, the Lord placed a simple but life-changing prayer on my heart: “Lord, help me to understand and accept your love for me.”
As I prayed that prayer over the months that followed, God began opening my eyes to different facets of His love through Scripture, prayer, worship, and everyday life. I realised that while many of us know about God’s love, far fewer of us truly live from the security of being deeply loved by Him.
We know that God loves us, yet we still wrestle with shame, strive for approval, fear rejection, or wonder if we’ve gone too far for His grace. I recognised those struggles in my own life, and I began to see them in the lives of many other believers.
That journey became the foundation of Encountering Agape.
The name comes from the Greek word Agape—the unconditional, self-giving love of God revealed most fully through Jesus Christ.
“This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”
— 1 John 4:10
Today, Encountering Agape is my invitation to you to begin your own journey of discovering God’s love. My role isn’t to give you every answer. Instead, my hope is to point you toward Scripture, encourage you to seek God personally, and create resources that help you encounter Him for yourself.
Whether we’re studying the Bible together, exploring spiritual practices, asking difficult questions, or reflecting on everyday life, my prayer is always the same: That you would receive fresh revelations of God’s love, learn to rest in it, and allow it to transform the way you see yourself, others, and the world around you.
Because when we truly understand the love of God, everything changes.
